Rodriguez Kenadre Clayton, 22, of Demopolis, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 5 for second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm in the city.
The arrest stemmed from an incident on July 19 at Hilltop Circle when the subject allegedly struck another male in the head with a handgun, then fired two shots into the air. Clayton then fled the area, and was captured in Tuscaloosa.
He is currently being held in the Marengo County Detention Center on $150,000 bond and a cash fine of $1,566.
DPD Chief Tommie Reese gave praise to his patrol officers and criminal investigators on their handling of this case.
