Ida Alethea Glass, 87, of Thomaston died Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Marengo Nursing Home.

She was born July 8, 1926, in Octagon. She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodie M. Glass and Eunice Alma Barkley Glass; brothers, Goodwin Glass, Charles Glass, Norman Bill Glass and Cleveland Glass.

She is survived by her son, Winston Brasfield Glass of Thomaston; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Graveside funeral services were held at Octagon Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Snow officiating.

Active pallbearers were Stan Glass, Bill Glass, Ronnie Glass, Dwain Glass, Paul Thompson, Kenneth Stockman and Bud Dunn.

Honorary pallbearers were the employees and staff of Marengo Nursing Home.
