Nettles nets Young COTR crown

Buckley Elizabeth Nettles is the 2013 Young Miss Christmas on the River.
She is the daughter of Ed and Heidi Nettles and is a fourth grader at US Jones Elementary School.
She likes dance, horseback riding, softball, golfing and watching ESPN with her dad and said her favorite things about school where Alabama history and P.E. with Coach Bradley.
Her court included first alternate Anna Katherine Sellers, second alternate Cassidy Claire Crawford, third alternate Sarah Kate Potter and fourth alternate Jordyn Nicole Bailey.

The other Top 16 contestants were Abby Grace Cameron, Victoria Elizabeth Horn, Camilla Beck Emmons, Abigayle Marie Quinney, Megan Lindsey Roe, Hannah Allen Whaley, Anna Katelyn Glass, Anna-Coleman Yelverton, Taylor Alysse Dunklin, Anna Scott Bozeman and Sara Elaine Jordan.
Mary Frances Webb was crowned Miss COTR on Saturday, while Alyssa Martinez took home the Junior Miss COTR title Monday.
The final pageant, the Little Miss COTR, will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center.
