Mary Margaret Waldrop Lee, 72, of Marion, died Friday Oct. 11 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 29, 1941, in Jefferson County to the late Woodrow W. and Margaret Jane Loveless Waldrop.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow W. and Margaret Jane Loveless Waldrop.

She is survived by her husband, J. Kinyard Lee of Marion; son, Dr. William Shane (Deborah) Lee, M.D., of Marion; brother, James W. (Martha) Waldrop of Hueytown; and two grandchildren, William Benton Lee of Birmingham and Margaret Ashley Lee of Marion.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Waldrop officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 6-8 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Howard Davis, Dr. Doug Halbrooks, Brad Sturgis, William Benton Lee, Joe Lewis Benjamin and Todd Brogden.
