The Demopolis Public Library will host a military and civil service day on Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 4-6 p.m.

Recruiters from the Army, U.S. Marine Corps, Demopolis Police Department, Demopolis Fire Department and Alabama State Troopers will be onsite to discuss each field.

“Our circulation manager, Connie Lawson, developed this program after seeing a need in our community,” said Library Director Morgan Allen. “Military recruiters meet with students and adults in the library on a regular basis. We thought this would be a great opportunity for students, parents, and other adults to learn about each branch of the military and the civil service departments in our city.”
