The Demopolis First Presbyterian Church is sponsoring the Cards for the Troops drive.

Signed Christmas cards, store bought or handmade, are being collected to send to troops overseas.

The cards will be hand-delivered by chaplains once they are sent to the troops.

The deadline to turn in cards is Sunday, Nov. 17. It is an opportunity for individuals, families, school classrooms, Sunday School classes and other organizations to show their support for the men and women defending the United States overseas.

Cards can be turned in to Elaine Carr at Demopolis High School, or they can be brought to the First Presbyterian Church at 300 North Strawberry Ave. in Demopolis.
