Millry Bailey Burkhalter, 86, died Thursday, Nov. 7 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Pickens County to the late Julian Bailey and Donna May Person.

She is survived by her son, Ken Burkhalter of Linden; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Steve Vernon officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
