There will be a Catfish Industry Update Meeting to be held on Monday, Dec. 16 at the Demopolis Civic Center.

All Alabama and East Mississippi catfish farmers, processors and catfish industry support people are invited and urged to attend. The meeting will be hosted by Auburn University.

The meeting will be from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with lunch being served by the Southern Academy Booster Club. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m.

Reports and talks will include industry status updates, research updates, as well as industry leaders answering questions concerning the future of the U.S. Farm Raised Catfish Industry.

There will also be a Best Catfish Contest for farms bringing in several of their fish to be judged on fillet yield, flavor and color.
