Each year, the Demopolis Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association raffles off items during Christmas on the River to raise money for the Demopolis Police Department.
This year, Dexter Boston won a 32-inch TV with a DVD player. The television was donated by Radio Shack and Collins Communications.
The raffle raised $728 this year at $1 per ticket, and a check will be presented to DPD Chief Tommie Reese next week.
Last year, the DCPAAA presented $1,000 to the police department, which Reese used to purchase a projector and projector screed for the training room that is used for different purposes.
