Thomasville woman killed in crash south of Putnam

A two-vehicle crash Monday, Dec. 30, claimed the life of a Thomasville woman and injured three others.
Eliz Downey, 74, was killed when the vehicle in which she was a passenger collided with another vehicle. The crash occurred at 12:40 p.m. on Alabama 69, two miles south of Putnam.
Alabama State Troopers said seatbelts were not in use at the time of the accident. Both drivers and another passenger were transported to area hospitals, according to a release from the Troopers.
Nothing further is available as Troopers continue to investigate.
