Due to weather-related travel difficulties, games for the University of West Alabama men and women’s basketball teams scheduled for Thursday at Delta State have been moved to Monday. Game times remain the same, with the women tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the men at 7:30 p.m.

Now, instead concluding a four-game road swing at Christian Brothers on Saturday, the Tigers will wrap up the swing at Walter Sillers Coliseum in Cleveland, Miss., against the nationally ranked Statesmen and Lady Statesmen.

The West Alabama men are 10-6 overall and 7-3 in the Gulf South Conference, in second place and two games behind the 15th-ranked Statesmen, who are 16-2 and 9-1. Delta State’s lone conference loss is to UWA, 71-51, Dec. 19 in Livingston.

The GSC-leading Lady Statesmen are 14-2 and 9-1 and ranked 11th in the nation. The West Alabama women are 4-12 overall and 1-9 in league play.
