The Demopolis Quarterback Club will host the Color Me Blue 5K at the Demopolis SportsPlex on Saturday, May 17 at 8 a.m.
The color run will benefit the DHS football team, but head coach Tom Causey said it will be more about having a fun, family atmosphere for people to enjoy.
“It will be a nice family day,” Causey said. “It will be an opportunity for people to come out and walk or run.”
Registration for the event is $25, and children 7 and under are free. Anyone who registers before April 21 is guaranteed to receive a T-shirt for the color run. After April 21, T-shirts will be first come, first served. People can register at Demopolis Middle School, Demopolis High School, or at the Westside branch of Robertson Bank.
“The SportsPlex has been gracious to allow us to use their property to host the event,” Causey said. “It will be a fun day to come out and spend time with the community.”
There are also three sponsorship packages available if business are interested in being a sponsor for the event.
The Level 1 Sponsorship will be a color station sponsorship for $300. There will be one sponsor per color for the event. This level of sponsorship includes a large banner above the color station, the business name displayed on advertisement emails and T-shirts, the option to include a business card or advertising gift in the participant’s registration packets and have the business name displayed on the “Thank You Sponsors” banner.
The Level 2 Sponsorship will be an advertising sign and T-shirt sponsor for $100. This level of sponsorship includes one advertisement sign along the 5K path, the business name displayed on advertisement emails and T-shirts and the business name displayed on the “Thank You Sponsors” banner.
The Level 3 Sponsorship will be a T-shirt sponsor for $50. This level of sponsorship will include the business name displayed on advertisement emails and T-shirts and the business name displayed on the “Thank You Sponsors” banner.
