DPD makes arrest in car break-ins

An arrest has been made following a string of vehicle break-ins Monday morning in Demopolis.
The Demopolis Police Department arrested Jacob Nored, 19, of Demopolis. He is charged with six counts of unlawful breaking and entering vehicles and one count of fraudulent use of a credit card.
Nored is currently being held at the Marengo County Detention Center while the cases remain under investigation. DPD Chief Tommie Reese said more charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
Reese commended his Criminal Investigation Division and Patrol Division for bringing some closure to the victims. He also asked that citizens to alert the DPD of any suspicious activity by calling the department at (334) 289-3073.
