Marengo County under freeze warning

The “Easter freeze” predicted in many a old farmers tale has come true this year.

Given it’s the second week of April, it’s an especially late season freeze that is likely overnight.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has predicted an overnight low of 32F in Demopolis.

A freeze warning is in effect for Marengo County and most of Alabama.

Freezing conditions could last up to three hours before dawn in Demopolis and surrounding areas.

Tender vegetation could be killed by frost, so cover plants or bring them indoors!
