The Birmingham National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Marengo County and most of central Alabama.

At 3:55 p.m., the NWS issue the watch for  Bibb, Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chilton, Etowah, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Perry, Pickens, St. Clair, Shelby, Sumter, Talladega, Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston counties until 10 p.m.
