This summer, churches across Demopolis are gearing up for Vacation Bible School.

Listed below are some of the area churches that will be hosting Vacation Bible Schools in the coming weeks.

The First Baptist Church will hold their Vacation Bible School, themed “Agency D3,” on Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 6.

Festivities will last from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Children ages 3 through students in the sixth grade are welcome. For more information call the church at (334) 289-0473 or visit the church at 109 S. Strawberry Ave.

The First United Methodist Church will host their Vacation Bible school for children who are about to begin kindergarten through children who are about to enter the fifth grade.

Festivities will begin Monday, June 16 and last through Friday, June 20. Each day will begin at 1:30 p.m. and end by 5 p.m. This summer’s theme will be, “Weird Animals, Where Jesus’ Love is One of a Kind.”

Fairhaven Baptist Church will hold their detective-themed Vacation Bible School on Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 13. VBS will start at 5:45 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m. Children in kindergarten though the eighth grade are welcome to attend. Saints Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Demopolis will also hold their VBS June 9-13 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The theme will be, “Clean and Green.”

Demopolis First Presbyterian Church will hold their Vacation Bible School on Monday, June 16 through Friday, June 20.

Children ages 4 through children in the sixth grade are welcome to participate.

The theme for this summer’s VBS will be, “The Case of the Mystifying Miracles.”
