Motorcyclist dies in early Tuesday wreck

A 49-year-old Uniontown man who grew up in Demopolis died early Tuesday after crashing his motorcycle along U.S. 80.

The Demopolis Police Department responded to the single-vehicle accident just before 6 a.m. and found Jeffrey Scott Fluker dead at the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, and no additional information was released by DPD.

Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese asked the community to join his department in praying for the victim’s family in this time of loss.

Fluker was born June 16, 1964, in Demopolis to David Fluker Jr. and Clodean Latham Fluker. He worked as a registered nurse.

He is survived by his parents; daughter, Emma Kate Fluker of Ellisville, Miss.; sister, Dianne Hannah of Eufaula; and brother, Ken Fluker of Webb.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with the Rev. John MacLaren officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
