Batter Up Sports Bar and Grill in Demopolis will serve some free food Monday, June 16 at 5 p.m. for the FIFA World Cup soccer match between the United States and Ghana.

Demopolis Elite Soccer Club is sponsoring the event with Batter Up.

Donations were given to Batter Up to allow for some free food Monday night, then normal business will resume. Around $150 was donated for the free food. After that, 10 percent of the proceeds will go to Demopolis Elite Soccer.

The event offers a chance to meet the players and coaches of the Demopolis Elite Soccer Club while watching the World Cup match and eating free food.
