Homer V. Boone Jr., 69, of Demopolis, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, at Princeton Baptist Hospital.

He was born Sept. 16, 1944, to the late Homer V. Boone Sr. and Florence Boone. He worked as a pharmacist for 41 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer V. Boone Sr. and Florence Boone.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Harrison Boone; daughter, Tonah Boone (John) Montgoemry of Tuscaloosa; sons, Richard L (Elizabeth) Boone of Linden and Raymond L. (Teresa) Boone of Demopolis; sisters, Rachel (Jimmy) Hunt of Opelika and Nita Fancher of Lagrange, Ga.; brother, Johnny (Linda) Boone of Lafayette; and 11 grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 2 p.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Michael Montgomery, Logan Boone, Landon Boone, Wesley Allgood, Kevin Cruz and Darrell Cramer.
