A Plantersville woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash just north of Selma on Wednesday.

Verloish Woods, 50, was killed when the 2004 Kia she was driving left the roadway and overturned.

The crash occurred at 6:15 p.m. on Dallas County 39 approximately six miles north of Selma. Two passengers in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals. Seat belts were not in use.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
