Houston Ardene Fowler

Houston Ardene Fowler, 64, of Demopolis, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

Fowler was born Sept. 4, 1950, in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., to the late Frankie O’Neal Fowler and Pearl Kiddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frankie O’Neal Fowler and Pearl Kiddy; and sister, Elizabeth Fowler.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Luker Fowler; daughters, Brenda (Robbie) Byrd of Clanton, Amy (Tim) Porter of Verbena, and Debra (Robert) Derby of Gallion; sons, Steve (Ginger) Fowler of Verbena and Jonathan Knight of Gallion; sister, Linda (James) Milam of Demopolis; brother, Eddison Fowler of Belo Horizonte, Brazil; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel at noon with Terry Calloway officiating. Burial will follow at Aimwell Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be Jonathan Knight, John Milam, Robert Derby, Tim Porter, Cole McClure and Thomas Milam. Honorary pallbearers will be David Fowler, Dr. Chu and his clinic, and Southern Care Hospice staff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
