Thomas Phillip Shipp Sr., 77, of Demopolis, passed away Sunday, Dec. 21, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 8, 1937, in Mississippi to William Walter and Dolly Clytie Seay Shipp.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean Chavis.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Glass of Prattville and Sherri Anderson of Montgomery; sons, Thomas Phillip Shipp Jr. of Demopolis and Gregory Alan Shipp of Demopolis; sister, Mona Ketchum of Midway, Miss.; brothers, Hugh Shipp of Texas, Gordon Shipp of Texas, Danny Shipp of Mississippi and Mac Shipp of Mississippi; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be announced at a later time. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel entrusted with all arrangements.
