Forkland man faces murder charge

Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) arrested a suspect Sunday evening in the death of a Forkland man.
Markell Tionne Gray, 19, of Forkland was arrested and charged with the murder of Otha Deail Davis, 36. Gray was taken into custody shortly after he turned himself in at the Demopolis Police Department.
According to information provided by the SBI, the incident took place at approximately 6:30 p.m., at Moore’s One Stop Convenience store in Forkland.
Gray is being held at the Greene County Jail on charges of murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied building. Bond was not set upon release of the information Monday afternoon.
No further information was released as the investigation continues.
