The Demopolis Rotary Club is asking the community to join them in a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit the Demopolis Food Pantry through Nov. 19. Along with Rotary, the event is sponsored by local banks and Rotary’s student organization, the Interact Club.
The food pantry is a combined ministry of local churches and serves about 200 people each week. Those receiving assistance qualify on an annual basis.
Those interested in helping the food pantry can donate canned foods or a monetary donation. Non-perishable foods can be donated at Robertson Banking Company, TrustMark Bank, or Sweet Water State Bank. There will also be a food drive at Vowell’s Market. Checks should be made payable to the Demopolis Food Pantry.
