Linden warming up for ChiLLy Fest
Organizers in Linden have been busy preparing for this weekend’s ChiLLy Fest.
The ChiLLy Fest will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, and Saturday, Dec. 12.
Events begin on Friday with the Christmas Carnival throughout the evening along with the “Anything But” event from 6 to 9 p.m.
A chili cookers party will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. with a free concert by the music group Telluride.
On Saturday, local food and arts and crafts vendors will be in town from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with food vendors also being available at the gazebo at 4 p.m.
The ChiLLy Chili Run, a fun run, will begin at 9 a.m.
Christmas music will entertain from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. while the Christmas Carnival will be held throughout the day.
The popular ChiLLy Fest Cruise-In Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The judging for the Chili and Cornbread Cook-Off will begin at 11 a.m. with public servings beginning at noon.
The event concludes with the Christmas Parade of Lights at 6:30 p.m. followed by the fireworks extravaganza. Organizers suggest the best viewing for the fireworks will be at the ChiLLy Fest Park.
