Lucile Coleman Rankin

Lucile Coleman Rankin of Faunsdale died Dec. 14, 2015.
Lucile was born on June 14, 1946, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Coleman Jr. She received a degree from The University of Alabama where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Lucile taught at University Military School in Mobile and Black Belt School in Uniontown. She was an avid bridge and tennis player. She also loved gardening, singing and whistling, being outside, and watching things grow.
Lucile is survived by her husband of 40 years, William Dickason Rankin; three daughters, Margaret Rankin Byrd (Bobby) of Greensboro, Annie Coleman Rankin Williams (Brycen) of Auburn, Coleman Rankin Krusmark (Kurt) of Gallion; two grandchildren, William Rankin Williams and Ella Elizabeth Williams; a grandson to be born in February, Shepard Woodson Krusmark; two brothers, Robert Lee Coleman III and Dudley Pleasant Coleman, both of Atmore.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Bruce McIsaac Coleman, and her parents.
Funeral services were held at Dec. 17, 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Uniontown with interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Faunsdale. A luncheon to celebrate Lucile will follow at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Holy Cross Episcopal Church of Uniontown; 205 Walters Road, Gallion, AL 36742.
