On Tuesday, Oct. 11, and Wednesday, Oct. 12, Rep. Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will host “Congress in Your Community” town halls in Marengo, Choctaw, and Clarke Counties, respectively. The events are free and open to the public.
The purpose of the town halls is to provide an opportunity for residents of the 7th Congressional District to share their views and concerns, and hear updates on the Congresswoman’s work in Congress. The visit is part of Representative Sewell’s annual “Congress in Your Community” tour through the fourteen counties of the 7th District.
“My annual ‘Congress in Your Community’ tour is something I look forward to each year, as it provides me an opportunity to have an open dialogue with the residents of the 7th Congressional District. These town halls allow me to gain a first-hand understanding of what is most important to my constituents,” said Representative Sewell.
The town hall events will be held in Marengo County on Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 5-6 p.m. at Little Zion Missionary Church in Faunsdale. The Choctaw County meeting will be at the General Hospital from 10-11 a.m. on Oct. 12 followed by the Clarke County meeting at the courthouse in Grove Hill from 1-2 p.m.
