William DuBrutz ‘Bruce’ Ulmer

William DuBrutz “Bruce” Ulmer, 70, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Nov. 20, 2016, and is rejoicing in Heaven with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Church of the Highlands office complex at 322 Catoma Street in Montgomery. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m at the Riverside Cemetery in Demopolis.
Bruce was born in Demopolis on March 31st 1946. As a resident of Monroeville, Alabama, he was an active member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and played Bob Ewell for 19 years in the local production of “To Kill a Mockingbird.” For the past two years, Bruce resided in Montgomery and was an active member of Church of the Highlands, Montgomery. Bruce loved the Lord with all his heart, serving others through prison ministry, Highlands Dream Team, and as a leader in the Episcopal Cursillo Ministry.
Bruce is survived by his brother, Buddy Ulmer; daughters, Lee Ann (Ed) Eddins, Malin (Wilbur) Hill, Anna Claire (Robert) Morriss; sons, Will Ulmer, Coleman (Kaylee) Ulmer; grandchildren, Ellen Marie, Will, Grove, Claire, Raynes, and Wilbur; and many other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Church of the Highlands, Legacy Offering.
