NWS issues weather advisory

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a significant weather advisory for counties in west Alabama until 4:45 p.m.
The NWS reports that a pressure feature associated with a line of rain showers was producing wind gusts around 30-40 MPH. The movement of this activity was northeast at 45 mph. Winds in excess of 30-40 mph will be possible during these these storms.
Locations impacted include Demopolis, Jefferson, Greensboro, Linden, Forkland, Thomaston, Sweet Water, Union, Eutaw, Uniontown, Tuscaloosa, Northport, Gordo, Reform, Holt, Moundville, Brookwood, Coaling, Coker, and Akron.
