Demopolis Lions Club inducts new officers, honors Wilson

- The Demopolis Lions Club inducted new officers during a ceremony on July 25. The Demopolis Lions Club held officer induction on July 25, 2017.
The group welcomed to the induction ceremony Lions Club First Vice District Governor Andy Marshall from Headland, Alabama.
At the meeting, the new officers for 2017-2018 were inducted. They include: John Laney, president; Frank Sampson, first vice-president and past president; Ken Sherwood, second vice-president; Kathi Wilson, secretary; Chuck Reynolds, treasure; George Patterson, tail twister; Allen Bishop, Lion tamer and membership; and Justin Pruett, board of directors/membership assistant.
The club also installed a new member, Rodney Robbins.
Following officer induction, the club honored Kathi Wilson with its highest award, the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, in recognition of her exemplary service to the club and the community of Demopolis.
