Elton Wallace Smith Jr.,  81, of Langston, Al passed away November 4, 2017.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. with visitation beginning at 4 p.m.  Rev. Chris Herbert officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Shepard’s Cove Hospice in Albertville, Alabama.

Wallace was a graduate of the University of Alabama.  He retired from Gulf States Paper Mill in Demopolis, AL.  He is preceded in death by his parents Elton Wallace Smith and Vera Kerr Smith.  He is survived by his wife Paulette J. Smith and his children Susanna (Rich) Naisbett, Johanna (Joel) Young, Tracy Smith Cargile, Scott (Lorrenda) Smith, Douglas (Melissa) Dreher, Dwain (Darlene) Dreher, Darlene (Robert) Jones, Dion (Susan) Dreher, 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
