Laurel Ann Spurlin Crawford, 79, of Demopolis, passed away Nov. 12, 2017, at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham.

Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 16, 11 a.m., at Gallion Baptist Church with Rev. Hank Atchison and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Nov. 15, from  to 7 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel.

Mrs. Crawford was born May 16, 1938, in Tifton, Georgia, to Walter Crawford and Estelle Connor Spurlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Walter Crawford.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Crawford Howell (Arch) of Greenwood, Mississippi and Kelly Crawford Slappey (Todd) of Decatur, Georgia; grandchildren, Haley Howell Goodman (Kenneth) of Jackson, Mississippi, Austin Archer Howell of Jackson, Tennessee, Laura Connor Slappey of Athens, Georgia and John Crawford Slappey of Auburn, Alabama; and a great-grandchild, Anne Archer Goodman of Jackson, Mississippi.
