Flood warning remains in effect along portions of Tombigbee

A flood warning continues for the Tombigbee River At Bevill Lock
and Dam and the Demopolis Lock and Dam as rises continue along the river, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning has been extended to Friday afternoon.
The NWS states that the river stage was at 123.2 feet, with 122 being the flood stage. Minor flooding is occurring and the forecast is for it to rise to near 123.4 feet by Thursday afternoon. The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Friday.
The NWS warns the public to not drive cars through flooded areas.
