Taylor Vail, a senior at Demopolis High School, was named January’s Member of the Month for the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
Vail has been an FBLA member for three years and is the current treasurer. She was also one of the primary managers of The Giving Tree project in December, in which students collected Christmas gifts for children in need.
“Giving back to the community is very important to me, so I enjoy being involved in all of the community service projects that we do as a chapter,” Vail said.
She plans to attend the University of West Alabama and major in accounting. Upon earning her degree, Vail hopes to become a CPA.
FBLA Advisor Kelly Gandy said Vail was chosen for her compassion and dedication to FBLA.
“Taylor is very passionate about giving back, and this month as we collected items for the local food bank she brought in the most items. She also worked hard planning our upcoming Emblem Ceremony,” she said.
