Annual charity event will be held at Soggy Bottom, May 5

Soggy Bottom Lodge is hosting their third annual Kidz Outdoors charity event on May 5 during which they will give away a 2018 Toyota Camry. Raffle tickets for the car are $50, and participants do not have to be present at the event to win.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the drawing for the car taking place at 5 p.m. The event will have a $10 entry fee and a $10 parking fee. Raffle tickets will be sold up until the drawing.

“I’m so excited for our third annual Kidz Outdoors event. This event helps kids with special needs who don’t have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors,” said Magdalena Easterling, the office manager at Soggy Bottom Lodge.

The charity event will include activities such as inflatables, a rock climbing wall, fishing, skeet shooting, a petting zoo, live music, food, golf cart tours of the property and auctions.

“Soggy Bottom Lodge helped raise over $30,000 last year. We look forward to seeing everyone on May 5,” Easterling said.

Kidz Outdoors is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for childhood cancer and disease research. They also organize adult-mentored outdoor events that allow children who are disabled or otherwise unable to experience hunting.
