Brooks Kendel Boutwell, 36, passed away May 16, 2018 at his home in Augusta, Georgia.

Brooks is preceded in death by his father, Bobby C. Boutwell, and both sets of grandparents, Gunvor and Clayton Boutwell of Pine Hill, Alabama and Euta Mae and Elmore Knight of Thomasville, Alabama.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kaye and Greg Dunn of Daphne, Alabama, and his sister, Brandi C. Boutwell of Demopolis.

Brooks was a veteran and served in the Army. He enjoyed watching football and baseball, listening to jazz, and reading. He had recently expressed that he’d like to take creative writing classes as a hobby.

Brooks left us too soon, but will forever remain in our hopes, our hearts, and in our memories.

Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, May 26, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Family graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pine Hill with Pastor Brad McClain officiating.
