On Saturday, August 4, Marengo Beauties hosted a benefit beauty pageant for the Bigbee Humane Society.
Money was raised from entry fees, Peoples Choice votes, and door admission. The pageant brought in 15 beautiful young ladies from across Marengo County.
The pageant raised a total of $1,418 and provided 230 pounds of dog food for local humane society.
Bigbee Humane is not a county funded shelter and runs strictly from donations and profits from their Thrift Store in Demopolis.
Pageant organizers would like to thank the following sponsors for their support: Back Roads, Southern Blessings, Charley Burls, Langley Shell, and Marengo County Judge of Probate Laurie Hall.
Marengo Beauties is hoping to make this a annual fundraiser.
