The Jowers family mourns the loss of their beloved Linda Jowers. She passed away on June 3, 2019 at DCH in Tuscaloosa.

Mrs. Jowers was born on Sept. 10, 1945.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 56 years, Johnny Jowers. She also leaves behind children, Cathy and Butch Black; Rena and John Clibrey; Denise and Roger Deas; and Chris and Manley Jowers. She was grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind sisters Patty and Cap Jowers and Cookie and Pete Schuchardt, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Faulkner and a sister, Betty Yarber.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the third floor MICU at DCH in Tuscaloosa or to the American Lung Association online at action.lung.org in memory of Linda Jowers.

The family would like to express their gratitude for all messages, phone calls, and prayers.

There will be a small memorial service held at the home of Johnny Jowers on Thursday, June 6, from 1 to 3 p.m., at 112 Manson Dr., Gallion. There will be finger foods, but if you would like to bring a covered dish, please feel free to do so.
