WCC Workforce Development approved for Registered Apprenticeship program

Wallace Community College’s Workforce Development Center has been approved to offer Registered Apprenticeship programs. Registered Apprenticeship is an employer-driven model that combines on-the-job learning with related classroom instruction that increases an apprentice’s skill level and wages.
“This year, our Workforce Development Center has been working diligently to meet the needs of businesses and industries, along with the community,” said WCC President Dr. James Mitchell. “Our goal is to equip students with the skills needed for today’s workforce. A press conference related to the Registered Apprenticeship program will be held at Wallace Community College Selma on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. in the Student Center Media Room.
