The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce announces the 2019 Community Award winners to be officially recognized during the Chamber’s 104^th Annual Celebration Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Demopolis Civic Center.

Each year, the Chamber asks for community nominations for the following categories: Community Spirit Award, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Youth Volunteer of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award. The community is invited to join the chamber in celebrating the following for their commitment to service and support of our thriving community:

Community Spirit Award – 2019 World Series Committee

Volunteer of the Year – Gabby Lewis

Youth Volunteer of the Year- Michael Osmer

Citizen of the Year – Charles Singleton

Business of the Year – Two Rivers Lumber

Lifetime Achievement Award – John Wallace

Individual tickets to the chamber celebration can be purchased for $35 or tables for $250 at the Demopolis Chamber office downtown, 102 East Washington Street.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with a silent auction, wine reception, and local musical talent. Dinner will be catered by Faunsdale Bar and Grill and the awards presentation ceremony will follow. The night will also feature the traditional passing of the gavel, presentation of the chamber’s newest board chairman, and introduction of four new board members.
