U.S. Jones celebrates Black History Month
U.S. Jones Elementary School held a Black History Month student assembly on Feb. 26, following the theme “African Americans and the Vote,” which spoke to the ongoing struggle of both black men and black women for the right to vote.
During the program, students led the pledge and recited historical facts. The newly formed choir called the “Tiger Tones of U.S. Jones” also performed 3 songs.
