The Demopolis Times announces that Christi Kennedy has joined the local newspaper staff as Marketing Consultant.
Kennedy is bringing 10 years of experiences in marketing and sales to the Times. Most recently, she’s been a stay-at-home mom and a realtor. “There are no words to describe the look on a family’s faces when you hand them the keys to their new home,” she said.
As marketing consultant, Kennedy will organize the Times’ sales efforts in print, digital, and promotions, as well as the quarterly Demopolis Magazine. She officially joined the newspaper staff on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
Times Publisher and Editor Robert Blankenship said Kennedy has already made a positive impact for both the newspaper and advertisers.
“We feel very fortunate to have Christi on our team. She brings experience and a positive attitude to the office. Her can-do attitude will go a long way in assisting our local businesses reach their full marketing potential, whether through print ads or our customized digital products,” Blankenship said.
Kennedy said she looks forward to working with the Demopolis Times staff and the community.
“I’m excited about this opportunity to meet and work with the great people of Marengo County and throughout our coverage area,” she said.
Kennedy is a graduate of Thomasville High School and attended Auburn University at Montgomery where she studied marketing. She married her high school sweetheart, Jamie, and together they have a son Michael, 21.
In her spare time, she enjoys photography, reclaimed wood projects and spending time with family and friends.
