Joseph Glynn Browder Jr., 53, went to his eternal home on June 4, 2020.
Mr. Browder was born on Oct. 20, 1966, in Meridian, Mississippi to Joseph Glenn Browder Sr. and Linda Nixon Browder. He served as the assistant head football coach at Demopolis High School and was also a history teacher.
He is preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Snider Browder; his mother; his son, Joseph Skyler Browder; his sister, Carla Browder Durrett (Amand); his brother, Nicky Browder (Susan); an aunt, Diane Boyd (J.J.); nephews, Jeffery and Jordan Durrett and Nick (Mallory) and Jacob Browder; a great-niece, Nixon Lyn Browder; and a number of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Chapel in Demopolis. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 11, at 2 p.m., at the Henagan Cemetery in Epes, Alabama, with Carl Sudduth officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.
Pallbearers will be Tim Williams, Jim Logan, Tony Logan, Jim Pruitt, Rob Overton, Jack Jinkins, and Donald Fears. Honorary pallbearers will be Demopolis football players – past and present – and the Warrior Academy Class of 1985. The family is requesting donations to the DHS Quarterback Club in lieu of flowers.
