The forum will be a platform for debate between the candidates for mayor: Aliquippa Allen, Woody Collins, John Laney, and Andy Renner. The candidates running for city council will each give a speech. Those who would like to submit a question for the mayoral candidates may email those to director@demopolischamber.com by August 7 at 5 p.m. For more information about the forum contact the DACC office at 334-289-0270.
The River 106.5 is providing two hours of free radio time, from 7 to 9 p.m., to broadcast the forum. In addition, the chamber will use this to raise money by letting chamber members purchase one of 10 30-second commercials during the event. Those who would like to join the chamber or purchase an ad should contact DACC Executive Director David Lyons at 334-289-0270.
