Members of the Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce recognized four Demopolis City Schools students for their contributions to the recently published Visitor’s Guide. Each student was awarded a $100 check from the Chamber.

The Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce recognized several DCS students who were the winners of the drawing contest for the new Chamber of Commerce Visitors Guide that was recently published. The winners were Abbie Williams (Elementary School winner), Kaitlyn Samples (3rd place high school winner), Betty Guerado (2nd place high school winner), and Malaki Simpson (1st place high school winner).

Chamber of Commerce Director David Lyons thanked the students for their help in making the magazine possible.

“We appreciate you allowing us to put your artwork in our magazine and for being a part of history,” said Lyons.

President of the Chamber Board Jeff Davidson also expressed his thanks for the artwork that was contributed, and encouraged them to continue working on their skills.

“We sincerely appreciate you guys offering that up and all the hard work that goes along with that. I encourage you to keep it up,” said Davidson.

Artwork from the winners and all other submitted artwork will be posted on the Chamber’s website.
