The Demopolis City Schools Foundation is excited to announce the hiring of Mrs. Margaret Anne Gilchrist as its new Executive Director. Margaret Anne has served on the Foundation Board this past year and comes to us from Sumter Timber Company, LLC. where she served as the Accounts Payable Manager for the past 3 ½ years. She is an active member of First Baptist Church Demopolis volunteering in the Children’s Ministry. She is married to Justin and they have two girls: Mary Britton and Kathryn Anne.

I’m excited to be a part of this at a larger capacity now and look forward to taking what Ashley has done and building on it to continue moving the foundation and our schools in a positive direction.” -Margaret Anne Gilchrist

Ashley Coplin will end her tenure at the end of the month. “I’m excited to see all the great things Margaret Anne will do as the Foundation’s Executive Director, and I wish her nothing but the best in these endeavors!”
