Career Technical Education Director Terry Norton provided the Marengo County Board of Education with a brief update on technical matters during the May 23 board meeting.

The IT team has begun disposing of old technology items. Lodestar of Demopolis has discarded two loads already. The team will continue discarding old technology items into the summer.

Norton said he and his team are currently involved in end of year data clean ups and verification in preparation for submitting state reports.

 Norton said the IT team has several technology projects planned for the summer. They will be utilizing Lodestar and Ryan Anderson for these projects that are expected to keep the IT team busy all summer.

 The team is currently awaiting fence estimates for Marengo High School in Dixons Mills. They have had several fencing companies who have walked the campus and they have the required specifications.
