On Tuesday June 13, 2023, the “Women of Faith” awarded three young ladies a $350 Scholarship during the weekly meeting at the Theo Ratliff Center in Demopolis.

Two of the three graduated from Amelia Love Johnson High School. They both “were fierce basketball players” according to Brenda Coleman Williams who submitted both their names to the Women of Faith. Each recipient was required to write an essay. La Niyah Anderson and Ke’lesia Rhone both will continue to further their education. Ke’lesia Rhone plans to join the Air Force.

From L-R: Jewel Essex, Women of Faith President Rosie Thompson, Jakia Frazier, and Edward Ward.

Let us all keep these young ladies lifted in prayer as they prepare to go out in the world and follow their dreams. Congratulations!
