Under old business, Superintendent Dr. Timothy Thurman reported that work on the restrooms at Linden High School is expected to begin on Tuesday, July 5 and no later than Wednesday, July 26.

The scoreboard at the football field is up for a bit of remodeling and LHS principal Antwan Motley entered into a seven-year commitment with Coke to fund the scoreboard.

Thurman also announced that the school system has gotten notice to proceed with installing new HVAC systems at the high school. He said work “will begin ASAP” but they will have to “work around it” as the new system likely will not be completely installed by the start of the fall semester.

Under new business, Open House for Linden schools will be on Monday, August 7 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to meet with teachers and pick up student schedules
