Bulldogs trample R.C. Hatch 44-12

The Sweet Water Bulldogs remained in region play Friday when they took on the R.C. Hatch Bobcats. The Bulldogs took an early lead in the first quarter and refused to let go of it, defeating the Bobcats 44-12.

Ethan Carr put the Bulldogs on the board first with a one yard touchdown run, Timothy Kelly completed a 17-yard pass for a touchdown, Elliot Lucy had a three yard touchdown run, and Delvontae Lucy had a two-yard touchdown run. Other scores for the Bulldogs were two safeties, a 32-yard punt return and a 35-yard interception return.

R.C. Hatch would not get on the board until the fourth quarter where they scored on a 17-yard run and 42-yard fumble return.

Rushing yards for the Bulldogs consisted of Carr with eight runs for 58 yards, Deshanard Blanks had five runs for 56 yards, Delvontae Lucy had four runs for 27 yards, Elliot Lucy had 2 runs for nine yards, Caleb Dixon had one run for 8 yards, and Nate Norris had 2 runs for negative yardage.

On the receiving end for the Bulldogs, Elliot Lucy had one reception for two yards.

The Bulldogs will be on the road this Friday as they travel to Thomaston to take on the A.L. Johnson Eagles in their third region game of the season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
